Our narcotics detection team has performed many searches in rehabilitation and correctional facilities with benefit to the security and safety of the facility. We have found controlled substances in the facility rooms, in personal belongings, under buildings, down the sinks, drains and toilets, buried in personal plants, outside in lawns, woods and gardens and hidden in facility vehicles. Our canines are trained in passive alert methods so they do not damage any objects or equipment.
If controlled substances has been moved to a new location, our canines will show interest in both locations and often tracking its movement. Not only can our narcotics detection canines search clients for hidden controlled substances but they can also alert and indicated the clients use of controlled substance for urinalysis testing. The canines simply sniff at a persons who is either standing, sitting or lying down.
Although some clients are afraid of dogs, most of the clients are eager to see the dogs work. Our dogs are use to distraction and we allow an occasional pet in minimum security facilities. However given a problem situation our handlers and canines are alert to the occasional dangerous situation.
We have often performed searches with clients asleep, out of rooms, in a line up and during their daily routine. Although we can certainly perform routine searches, we usually suggest random searches with very few staff members knowing the time and date we are scheduled to come. We have performed searches under emergency conditions where there has been controlled substances found or used and the facility wanted to be sure there were no more controlled substances in an area.
Our canines can detect the presence and use of heroin, opium, PCP, cocaine, crack, methamphetamine, marijuana, hashish and THC deviates. Our narcotics detection canines are state certified and have many documented finds verifying by substance testing or positive urinalysis of a client.
Our investigation team can also perform on site chemical testing of any substance that is suspected to be a controlled substance or mixed with a controlled substance. LSD and Psyibon are available upon request.
We have also used our narcotic detection canine teams in schools, public events, nightclubs, businesses and surveillance situations.
