Canine & Investigation Training

TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR NARCOTICS & EXPLOSIVE DETECTION, PATROL & SECURITY, SEARCH & RESCUE DOGS

We offer training programs for the law enforcement agency, security or investigation agency or search and rescue unit that would like a dog prepared for duty.

We use German Shepherd and Labrador breeds with good health, temperaments, movement and structure, obedience, socialization, confidence and the drives to work.

Health screening includes a full veterinary examination, blood panel, x-rays of hips and elbows, negative heartworm status, current vaccinations against rabies, distemper, hepatitis, adenovirus, leptos, parvovirus, parainfluenza and corona.

Young Adult Program

Narcotics & Explosives Detection dogs are scent oriented with positive response to the ball. Dogs are started on one substance, either narcotics or explosives. Search and rescue dogs are started on finding one victim type. Potential patrol dogs have a full bite on sleeve with basic obedience.

Fully Trained Program

Narcotics Detection dogs are trained on four-six substances types (eight to ten substances for 200 hours. Explosive detection dogs are trained on 10-15 substances for 200-300 hours. Search and rescue dogs can be trained in live victim, drowned victim and deceased victim location for 200 hours. Patrol dogs have a full confident bite, with good control of suspects and obedience to the handler. Patrol and dual purpose dogs are available with titles in tracking, obedience and protection. Patrol dogs receive approximately 500 hours of training.

Handler Training & Certification

Handler training is available through our professional training programs. Certification for fully trained dogs is available.
