A Problem: One of our customers is a cellular reseller. They were processing their monthly billing statement by hand and wanted to automate this process.
The Solution: Customize Pacifica Software to capture the data from AT&T’s data model and import the information into Pacifica and then apply all appropriate taxes. Once calculated print the Billing Statement on a form suitable for customer review.
The Story: Airlink Communications is a progressive cellular reseller. They have been receiving a magnetic tape from AT&T with their cellular customers calling information on it. They then would send this tape to an agency that would remove only Airlink Customers from the information and put it on a diskette. Airlink would then send this to a printer who would then publish the statements. We shortened this process with our software to read in the data directly from AT&T and then apply all the discounts, taxes and different package plans to the data. Then once done print the statements. This customization has saved Airlink thousands of dollars. Airlink can also use Pacifica to sell pagers, cell phones and even web access.
