A Problem: Our local milkman took 5 days to do his month end billing statements for all his customers. It was 8 hours or more a session with a manual log book that listed all the months’ sales by customer in route order. When the statements were finished the milkman would deliver them on the next delivery schedule along with the customers’ order. The milkman wanted to automate this process to save him and his wife some time.
The Solution: Customize Aboutime Software to add a route number for each customer along with a standing order for each customer representing their weekly order.
The Story: The weekly orders are processed at month end and can be edited for additions and deletions.
They are then printed in route number order. The route number sequence was created in a way to accommodate changes in the route for additional customers and dropped customers. The statements are then hand delivered with the orders.
